metal health is in the cards

Let’s explore some creative emotional management techniques. Lately, I’ve been using:

  • The DBT Deck for Clients and Therapists by Dr. Lane Pederson

  • The Clarity Cards by Girls Gone Happy

  • The Four Agreements Card Deck by Don Miguel Ruiz

Card Decks are an easy way to stay on top of your mental health daily. If you feel like you don’t have the time to meditate or journal or do something proactive for your mental health, cards geared towards mental, emotional, and spiritual stability can be very helpful. They are grounding because the topics are already pre-selected. You don’t have to think about it. All you have to do is read the card and breathe. If you have time, you can reflect, journal, meditate and do any suggested exercises, but if you don’t have a lot of time, just pick a card at least once daily to get your self-care in and your good. This may not solve all of your problems, but at least you will be able to say that you are committed to your mental health…and you got your mental health energy shot for the day.
