make the mind switch

After experiencing a setback, you may want to recoil and shutdown. However, in the middle of the pain, your brain is still integrating who you are. You may have just experienced, a loss, or grief. Life shows up and it’s not always easy. Yet, in these moments of rawness and fear, what you think about yourself is critically important.

In fact, what you think right now…during this experience sets the course for your future destiny. There is a fork in the road, and you are being offered a choice. If you only focus on how miserable you are, your brain will create neuropath file folders that lock you into this type of mindset.

You could also go down the wrong road because you weren’t clear about who you are even when there is hardship. Yet, if you can be courageous and decide one way or another you will get through this. You can learn from this experience, and you will become better. You can become stronger right in the middle of pain. This will help you make decisions moving forward.

Remain mindful of your thoughts, even in moments of uncertainty, grief, and fear. Create only those thoughts that support your healing and future outcomes of victory.
